Solo Piping Recital by Angus MacColl
This is an exceptional opportunity to hear a concert by Angus MacColl (Benderloch, Scotland), one of the finest pipers in the world. The evening will be a benefit for the Nicol-Brown Amateur Invitational Competition, and a welcoming reception for the competitors.

The 2010 Nicol-Brown Contest
Ten of the finest Amateur pipers from across North America were selected to play in an elite invitational contest with three events: 6/8 Marches, Piobaireachd and MSR. The contest is dedicated annually to the memory of Robert U. Brown and Robert B. Nicol.

Nicol-Brown competitors were given the privilege of receiving instruction from Angus MacColl and Donald Lindsay, and the public was invited to observe the master class. Topics included musical expression, technique, and improving musicianship toward the professional level of piping.
